Aeration systems for the optimum preservation of La Mancha Farms Pistachios

We have completed the assembly of six flat-bottom silos SBH0920/10 for pistachios storage. The “green gold” will be stored during the next harvest in October. These silos are specially designed to guarantee the best conservation of the pistachios by incorporating the most suitable aeration systems for this valuable fruit.

The ventilation Systems supplied to preserve the quality of the pistachios are the roof vents, the inside perforated cone, and the full aeration floor. Each silo is equipped with 17 roof vents which maintain a constant airflow inside the silo, preventing condensation and evacuating stale air from the silo. Roof vents are designed to stop the rain and snow from entering. Three silos include an inside perforated cone that allows complete ventilation of the floor and facilitates the unloading of the grain without floor contact, eliminating the need for a sweep auger. The other three silos have full aeration floor mounted on supports that create an air chamber that improves the distribution of the aeration of the fans. For perfect ventilation regulation, the silos are equipped with a temperature control system that optimizes aeration. To protect the grain we assembly grain stopper system that minimize the segregation and breakage of the grain. Other accessories to be highlighted are the maximum and minimum level sensors of Symaga to control the filling level of the silos.

La Mancha Farms will inaugurate in a few months the largest proccessing plant of pistachios with a state of art facility in the town of Socuellamos. We are proud to participate in a cutting-edge project a few kilometers from the factory, as well as increasing the percentage of silos assembled in our country, Spain.
